SKIRTED HERONS

In fabrication and scheduled to be completed and installed in 2027

Public Artwork commissioned by Concord Pacific for the Barker and Olive development in Burnaby, BC, Canada. Three, free standing, 9 foot high figures. Half bird and half humans they speak to the body as both architecture and nature. Fanciful, and brawny the artworks have extended dye sublimated torsos, cast bronze legs and skirts. The sculptures speak to the balancing act between personal and public space - - the urbanity of our communities and the foothold we have in both our natural and manmade environments.
