The body, the suggestion of body ,body in part and parts of the body have been important themes in Lemieux’s work for over thirty years.

These drawings are often done in books using either watercolour, ink or gouache.

TÊTE DE LIVRE, drawings of heads sketched in a book. In French when the words de and livre are read as one and an accent is added, become délivre; which means to release - to deliver.

GROSSE TÊTE, BIG HEAD VEILED ON MAT, Ink drawings painted on oversized paper and mat board. Noses, necks and hair protrusions extending off the paper and onto the mat that contains them.
