| | Liquid latex through oxygenation, unlike
neoprene rubber, ages with time. The works made between 2003 and 2007 were not made, nor meant to last.
Over a period of years they stretched,
became brittle and hardened to the point of
falling apart.
The MIGNONNETTE and MME IVES series of
scans were made as memories, witnesses
to sculptures that in time were meant to
disappear.
Drawings from 1988 onward, are watercolour, pencil, ink or gouache on paper. Figures and gestures range from half an inch to over 5 feet. Floating, paired and clustered into families that are at times different and at times similar – Conversations and reflections about body and the
suggestion of body – impart and in part.
